The Tulane University School of Social Work (TSSW) (http://tssw.tulane.edu) is seeking several exceptional Clinical Faculty for our MSW and DSW programs starting in Fall 2021.  Clinical faculty positions are full-time, non-tenure-track, 12-month appointments with primary duties of teaching and student advising.

Tulane University, a Carnegie designated Research I institution, is located in the vibrant city of New Orleans.  The School of Social Work invites nominations and applications, especially in the areas of clinical behavioral health, community practice, and clinical research. Preference will be given towards candidates that have expertise in clinical data science which includes applied clinical research, data analysis, or program evaluation. Previous experience in teaching online and hybrid innovative courses are also of particular interest to us.

Clinical faculty will teach in the School’s MSW and DSW curriculum. Teaching duties will vary from 1 to 3 courses per semester based on the needs of the School (total load 9 courses per 12 months) as well as student advising and success support. 

Qualifications

Applicants must possess an MSW or master’s degree in a related behavioral science discipline.  MSW applicants must have a valid social work license. 

Preferred:  A PhD, DSW, or a doctoral degree in a related behavioral science discipline. Three or more years of teaching experience in on-ground and/or online classes at the graduate level.
