Job Summary

The Lecturer position in the Hall School of Journalism and Communication is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position and is responsible for teaching courses within the department, university committee assignments, advising students, advising student organizations, teaching communication tools and skills, and enhancing a broad spectrum of skills in students, including writing, problem-solving, critical thinking, organization, teamwork, and language skills.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in strategic communication, journalism, mass communication, communication, advertising, public relations, speech communication, communication studies, or related field
  • Ability to teach basic and advanced courses in at least two of the following areas: public speaking, crisis communication, gender communication, organizational communication, intercultural communication, multimedia journalism, public relations, advertising, broadcast journalism, communication studies, and/or mass communication courses
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and a strong concern for students
