Job Description:

The College of Saint Rose invites applications and nominations for a Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Huether School of Business, beginning August 2021. This is a one-year appointment continuing through May 2022. A Visiting Faculty member may be offered an appointment of one or more additional years after successfully teaching one academic year.

Readying students to excel in every business function in any organization, the Huether School of Business offers programs in a wide range of disciplines, from finance and accounting to management and marketing. Offering undergraduate degrees and the Masters of Business Administration, the Huether School is accredited by ACBSP.

Responsibilities will include teaching 24 credits (8 classes in a year) of undergraduate courses in Marketing discipline such as following courses:

BUS 253 Principles of Marketing
BUS 370 Consumer Behavior
BUS 377 Business-to-Business Marketing
BUS 423 International Marketing & Export Management

Additional responsibilities include attending school and department meetings.

Requirements:

Candidates for Visiting Instructor will have an MBA from an accredited program at the time of appointment on August 12, 2021. Additional requirements for candidates holding an MBA include a minimum of five years of experience in the field of marketing.

Candidates for Visiting Assistant Professor will have a PhD or DBA in marketing from an accredited program at the time of appointment on August 12, 2021. An ABD from an accredited program in Marketing, or a closely related academic field, will be considered if the degree will be completed within 1 year from date of appointment.

All candidates should have four semesters of college level teaching experience in the marketing curriculum, a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and superior written and oral communication skills.
