The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Non-Tenure-Track, Lecturer in the Department of Music. This position will be responsible for teaching saxophone to all majors/minors and possibly some clarinet; teaching music history; recruiting outstanding students; pursuing performance opportunities and other creative/scholarly activities; serving on departmental and university committees as requested, and acting as an academic advisor within the department. Ability/willingness to teach online is desired. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Minimum Qualifications: Master of Music is required. ABD or Doctorate in music is preferred. Evidence of successful teaching in saxophone and music history/music appreciation, including college/university level experience is required. Experience with other woodwinds, especially clarinet, is preferred.
