Centre College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of Studio Art, beginning August 2021. The successful candidate will be an actively exhibiting artist in photography, hold an MFA, and demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a student-centered environment in which they will develop classes at all levels from introductory through advanced. The ability to teach in other areas of studio art such as other digital media, drawing or design-foundations, will be given special consideration, but is not required. Special consideration will also be given to candidates who have successfully taught and mentored students from diverse backgrounds and identities, who create inclusive environments, and whose work explicitly engages issues of identity, diversity, and/or inclusivity. There will be a possibility to apply for an anticipated tenure-track position in the program during the year.
