Ideally situated in the heart of the world's largest medical center, the 150 members of the Department practice in the Texas Medical Center at iconic institutions, including BSLMC, Texas Children's Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital, and the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.

The Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery at The Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, has an immediate opening for a board certified/board eligible general surgeon for an established academic group with a strong program and a thriving community practice. Prior clinical experience in an academic institution is strongly desirable. Position will be primarily working at our Harris Health affiliate hospital, Ben Taub Hospital. Academic rank commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree and maintain a valid Texas Medical License. Candidate must be eligible to obtain hospital privileges at BCM affiliated facilities. Drug testing/background check is required prior to start.
