Job Description
The Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Department (MAE) at the University of Missouri (MU) invites applications for a non-tenure track, teaching faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Teaching Professor level. Applications are sought from candidates with expertise in the traditional mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering disciplines, who can teach foundational courses in the MAE curriculum. In particular, the MAE department is seeking applicants who can teach our freshman-level course Introduction to Computer-Aided Design (CAD) as well as fundamental courses such as Thermodynamics, Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Engineering Materials. A teaching load equivalent to three course per semester is expected.


Minimum qualifications require an MS degree awarded in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or a related field. Successful applicants will have a record of exemplary teaching performance, appropriate to the level of the appointment.
