Enterprise Systems Administrator - DevOps
Position Category: Staff - Full-Time
Summary:
Works with Developers, Security, and Sysadmins to plan, deploy, and support multiple applications across our working environments. Helps drive adoption of DevOps methodologies within the organization. Performs installation, configuration, administration, and tuning of software applications using continuous integration and continuous deployment methodologies (CI/CD). Diagnoses and troubleshoots performance and availability issues with the software application environments. Supports deployment of various software applications as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field plus two years of work experience in IT or a combination of education and experience in a related field totaling six years.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge with UNIX and Linux platforms.
- Strong knowledge of automation tools.
- Knowledge with build tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle.
- Proficient knowledge of industry trends, tools, and processes.
- Good understanding of entire SDLC pipeline from code, build, integration validation, unit testing, release management and deployment.
- Skills with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment, and with data management.
- Skills with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders.
- Preferred skills with Java, C, C++, or another major language.
- Skills with scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, and Shell and containerization technologies such as Docker, Swarm and Kubernetes, and web servers such as Apache and NGINX.
- Skills with revision control software (especially Git), SQL databases like MySQL, Oracle, and Postgres, and messaging queues like ApacheMQ, RabbitMQ, and GlassFish.
- Skills and experience with provisioning automation and configuration management (Chef, Salt, Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins); java servlet engines: WebLogic, Tomcat, or Jetty.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools.
- Ability to code and script.
- Strong ability to focus on business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited institution with an Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field, plus three year of work experience administering and maintaining of enterprise level IT systems; OR an associate’s degree in Information Technology or related field, plus five years of work experience in Information Technology, four of which must be directly related to the administering and maintaining enterprise level IT systems; OR any combination of higher education and work experience totaling seven years related to Information Technology, four of which must be directly related to the administering and maintaining of enterprise level IT systems.
Also successful completion of one current industry recognized certification that is directly related to the administering and maintaining enterprise level IT systems is required.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a normal office environment.
