Position: Visiting Lecturer in Athletic Training (AT) and Coordinator of Clinical Education (CCE). This is up to an 11 month position with appointment beginning June 2021.

Requirements: Applicants must be a certified Athletic Trainer in good standing with the Board of Certification (BOC) with a Master’s degree in AT, Kinesiology or related area (PhD preferred) and contemporary expertise in AT. The successful candidate will be required to obtain Texas State Licensure for Athletic Trainers (LAT) through the Texas Department of Licensure and Registration (TDLR). Experience in clinical practice, athletic training education, and program accreditation is essential.

Professional Duties: The successful candidate will be responsible for oversight of the clinical education portion of the program including student clinical progression, student assignment to clinical experiences, clinical site evaluation, student evaluation, regular communication and professional development of preceptors and preceptor selection and evaluation. The CCE will teach courses in the AT Program, assist the Program Director to achieve and maintain professional program accreditation by the Commission for Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), assist with ongoing program evaluation and maintenance of CAATE accreditation, and student recruitment and retention. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the mission of the department in undergraduate and graduate education, and engage in departmental, college, and university service.

The Department of Kinesiology offers a variety of undergraduate majors/degrees, a M.S. degree in Kinesiology, a M.S. degree in Athletic Training, and a PhD in Health Sciences (harrisresearch.tcu.edu). The TCU AT Program is currently under a comprehensive peer review for reaccreditation and for the transition to the graduate degree. The Harris College of Nursing & Health Sciences consists of programs that prepare future health care and human services professionals.
