Lecturer - Biology
The Department of Biology seeks applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position beginning August 1, 2021. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching courses in the candidate’s area of expertise.

Housed in the College of Science & Mathematics, the department is comprised of 24 full-time faculty who serve the people of the region through involvement on committees within the College, the University, and the University System of Georgia, and participation in professional, private, and community organizations.

Teaching introductory biology courses with labs for biology majors and/or anatomy and physiology courses with labs for non-majors. The teaching load is fifteen contact hours per semester for fall and spring.
- Master’s degree at the time of appointment in the appropriate field (biology, exercise physiology/science or a closely related area where the candidate has eighteen hours of graduate coursework in biology or a related discipline);
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning;
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
- A record of effective teaching appropriate to the applicant’s career stage;
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative setting;
- A record of mentoring students of diverse backgrounds.
