Job Description:

  • Provide support for all initiatives sponsored by the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development;
  • Development and implementation of a diverse activities calendar to meet the needs of the student population, offering weekly programs;
  • Advise the Student Activities Committee and the Commuter Student Association;
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD) Office;
  • Create all marketing materials for the Student Activities Committee and the Commuter Student Association events;
  • Responsible for the negotiation, budgeting and contracting of all Student Activities Committee and the Commuter Student Association events;
  • Work with the Director to advise various SGA Sponsored Student Organizations;
  • Assist with the development of assessment tools for the department inclusive of creating a strategic plan for activities;
  • Collaborate with other offices in the planning of programs (both on and off-campus);
  • Responsible for the maintenance of advertisement within the Campus Center; as well as office Social Media, and college intranet;
  • Coordinate the Board the Bus off-campus trip program;
  • Recruit, hire, train, schedule and evaluate the Office of Student Activities & Leadership Development work study students;
  • Sit on College Committees as assigned.

Residence Life Component:

  • Live-in and supervise a residence hall;
  • Supervise in-hall Community Advisor (CA) staff;
  • Assist with building operations and housing placements;
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with CA Staff, building, floors, and individuals;
  • Foster community development within the residential area;
  • Serve as a member of the RD duty rotation;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  1. Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, or related field required;
  2. 1-3 years, full-time experience in a programming or recreational environment;
  3. Skilled in financial planning, program planning and facilitation, as well as have the ability to supervise paraprofessional and support staff;
  4. High attention to detail;
  5. Ability to be a self-starter;
  6. Strong interpersonal customer service, communications and computer skills are required.
  7. This position requires some physical activity, including the ability to do event set up/breakdown and rounds of campus on a regular basis;
  8. Must be able to work hours outside of a traditional work week. Including night and weekend hours.

The Dean College Athletics Department is a Division III member of the NCAA and competes as a member of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC), Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC), and complies with all NCAA Division III Rules and Regulations.
