Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Philosophy, to begin Fall 2021. The successful candidate’s primary responsibility will be teaching core courses in Applied Ethics and Logic. Experience teaching these courses is expected. Desired additional areas of expertise may include: aesthetics; philosophy of race; social and political philosophy; and ethical issues in STEM fields. AUM’s student population is as diverse as the population of the state and includes a high proportion of traditionally underrepresented groups. AUM lecturers teach a 4/4 load. Internal funding to support scholarship and professional development is available.
