Job Summary
The Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages and Literatures seeks a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor of German Studies, starting August 16, 2021. Open specialization. This is a full-time, 100% appointment with benefits, a competitive salary, and a teaching load of two courses per semester. The successful candidate will offer German language courses and courses taught in English or German on German-speaking cultures.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Teaching responsibilities will include courses taught in English or German on German-speaking cultures. Teaching load is two courses per semester. The position includes service components related to graduate student professional development and extracurricular activities for undergraduates.
What We Can Offer
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000.

What We Require
PhD in German Studies or a related field; at least two years of college-level teaching experience, which may have been attained during graduate study; native or near-native proficiency in German; research specialization in German-language literatures and cultures.
