JOB SUMMARY: Middle Georgia State University is seeking a candidate for the position of Assistant Professor of Chemistry for the School of Health and Natural Sciences in the Department of Natural Sciences to begin fall 2021.  This position involves teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening and lower level chemistry courses.  One position is available in Warner Robins.  Travel from base campus to another campus (Macon or Cochran) may be required.

 QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a PhD in a chemistry or related area, with special attention given to the following areas of expertise: physical, analytical or inorganic chemistry.  Candidates must have a record of teaching and the potential for scholarship that warrants appointment at the rank of assistant professor.  Candidate selected for employment will be subject to a background check.

SALARY: Commiserate with experience. Salary for 10-month contract is in the upper $40,000’s for an Assistant Professor rank.
