Position Summary:

As a member of the education team, the Pediatrics Fellowship Coordinator will participate in the development of standard operating procedures, policies, and curriculum for the programs, while managing the daily operations of four Pediatric fellowship programs. The Pediatrics Fellowship Coordinator will coordinate the aims of the fellowship programs with the mission and vision of the Department of Pediatrics. This person reports to the Education Program Manager and works collaboratively with the Directors of the fellowship programs, the Vice Chair for Education, the UW Health Graduate Medical Education Office, and the Department of Pediatrics faculty and staff who assist in providing educational experiences for our fellows.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree (concentration in Education, Business, English, Social Work, Communications, or related field preferred) required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Graduate Medical Education, preferred. TAGME certification preferred.
- Experience in educational administration and/or office management in an academic health care setting is preferred.
- Previous experience working within the University of Wisconsin system and/or Graduate Medical Education (GME) as well as familiarity with the accrediting bodies is desirable.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, independent problem solving and analytical skills, attention to detail and organization, and an outgoing and energetic service-oriented approach required.
- Candidates should have a strong commitment to medical education.
- The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with professional learners and build relationships with institutional and national leaders, educators, and staff in GME.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated creative problem-solving skills, ability to manage and lead multiple simultaneous projects, and flexibility in communication practices.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated exceptional professional behavior, strong independent time-management ability, and high attention to detail.
