Position Summary:

The Residency Program and Faculty Promotion Assistant provides administrative program support within the Department of Human Oncology related to the Radiation Oncology Residency Program, Human Oncology faculty interviews and promotions, Cancer Biology expense submissions, and the Head & Neck Cancer database and Screening Event.

This position will assist and coordinate complex daily activities for the Program Coordinator. Good judgment, along with the ability to communicate effectively and confidentially with physicians, residents, fellows and program leader is required.

The candidate must have excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. The ability to work at a variety of tasks, and to take initiative that supports the mission are essential skills. This position requires a person who can function independently with general supervision as well as with a team to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency of the program.

Preferred Education:
- Associate Degree.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

Required Experience:
- 2 years of administrative experience.

Preferred Experience:
- 2-3 years of administrative experience in the medical field.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Experience using UW e-reimbursement, UW Health Oracle, MedHub.
- Knowledge of UW Health GME policies and procedures as well as ACGME rules and regulations of the Radiation Oncology program.
- Knowledge of UW SMPH policies and procedures regarding medical school faculty appointments and promotions.
- Knowledge of UW records management policies.
- Knowledge of UW/State travel policies and procedures, as well as United States VISA/passport rules and regulations; knowledge and ability to make on-line travel reservations.

Additional Information:

This position is posted at an FTE range of 80%-100%, functioning between the hours of 07:45-16:30.
