Job Summary

Provides administrative support within Student Involvement by supervising and supporting the administrative staff in managing and consolidating the financial and business operations of various internal student activity groups and organizations.

Essential Functions

-Serves as a liaison for departmental administrative support personnel, advising on policies and procedures relevant to business operations, budgeting, and human resource issues.
-Supervise administrative assistants and coordinate daily business operations to include reviewing departmental financial transactions, budget change orders, payroll, and/or travel vouchers.
-Advise students and staff on policies and procedures concerning operational issues related to business and finance.
-Assist in developing and balancing the department’s total budget based on financial information gathered from various student activity groups and organizations.
-Assist in human resources processes to include recruitment of new employees and completing and reviewing personnel action forms.
-Coordinate the preparation of business and financial reports.
-Responsible for coordinating the purchase of equipment and supplies.
