About the Opportunity:
The Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things (WIoT) is looking for an FPGA Engineer to enable cutting-edge research on next-generation wireless networks, software-defined radios, and networking testbeds. The successful candidate will work with the Colosseum team, which is operating, maintaining, and developing the world's most powerful wireless network emulator. Responsibilities:
The WIoT is looking for an FPGA Engineer with deep expertise in FPGA programming and signal processing. The candidate should also be comfortable with operating within a Linux environment and be proficient in higher-level programming languages (e.g., C, C++). The candidate should be capable of interfacing with a multidisciplinary team, spanning different engineering domains such as RF, computer engineering, and networking systems. The successful candidate will also participate in external activities, i.e. conducting tutorials and demonstrations related to Colosseum, publication of research and attendance/participation in professional conferences, etc.

Qualifications:
Applicant must have a BS in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or equivalent. Development experience with FPGAs, hardware description languages (e.g., VHDL, Verilog), and one among C/C++/Python. Experience with tools such as MATLAB and Xilinx VIVADO. Experience with signal processing on FPGA. Experience with code repository and versioning tools.


Preferred Qualifications:

MS in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Salary Grade:
Salary Commensurate with Experience
