The National Institute of Health (NIH) Office of Research Services (ORS), a federal component of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), is searching for a highly qualified, established executive leader and administrator with advanced scientific credentials for the position of Associate Director for Scientific Resources (ADSR). The NIH ORS develops, administers, and delivers resources in support of research programs across the NIH, one of the world’s foremost medical research centers and the Federal focal point for medical research in the United States. The ORS ADSR is a senior member of the ORS leadership team, reports to the NIH ORS Director, and will spearhead and coordinate activities across the NIH and among other Federal agencies.
The ORS ADSR will lead an organization of 653 federal employees and contract staff, manage a FY21 budget of $116.6M, and oversee the planning and management of such trans-NIH services and resources as radiation regulatory activities, NIH staff health, safety and wellness programs, veterinarian services, NIH library information services, and the administration of the NIH COVID-19 response for staff at sites across the nation.
