Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 503373), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree preferably in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Biological Science, or a related discipline, with experience in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, and/or animal handling techniques. They should be able to work independently as well as in a team, be able to multi-task with attention to details, and have a good command of English.

The appointee will participate in multidisciplinary research relating to developing cutting-edge genome engineering, synthetic biology, high-throughput screening, and combinatorial genetics technologies and their applications in devising new therapeutic strategies against cancers and neurodegenerative diseases. He/She will also gain research experience in CRISPR technology and high-throughput screening techniques. For more information, please contact Dr. Alan Wong at aslw@hku.hk .
