About the Opportunity:
Under the supervision of the Sr. Associate Director of Application Evaluation and Selection, the Associate Director for Operations is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation and management of admissions operations including process design, and developing processing and counseling staff workflow. The incumbent is responsible for training and supporting staff on admissions systems including the Admissions CRM systems, as well as oversight of credential evaluation and processing for all undergraduate entry programs, including pathways.

This position will work closely with the Senior Associate Director, Admissions Systems and Director of Business Process Innovation, Enrollment Systems and coordinate with the Admissions Reading Management Team on workflow priorities and system improvements. They are part of a team responsible for application process, admission selection, and decision release quality control.

On a daily basis they are responsible for managing and reporting on workflow, progress towards institutional goals, ensuring data integrity within admissions systems and to receiving systems. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of operations area staff. Through supervisory lines, they manage the effective delivery of all print, electronic and web communications related to the application process, communications-related inventory, supporting the prospect mail flow, project implementation, transfer credit evaluation, supervision of work-study students, and other operations responsibilities as need be. They represent the University with external vendors and coordinate updates related to the application process.

They serve on the enrollment/ admission management team and assist in developing and implementing office policies and procedures, actively contributing to the office welfare

  • Bachelor's degree, masters preferred, and five to seven years of direct experience in college admission, preferably with a strong background in selective, holistic application evaluation.

  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented, with an aptitude for data driven decisions and project management.

  • Experience to also include the counseling of students, and the evaluation of student credentials.

  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, excellent communication, problem solving, and supervisory abilities required.

  • Shown ability and interest ability in the design of work flow processes, project and task prioritization, and making data informed decisions.
