REPORTS TO: Director, Library (Project Director)

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Serves on the Advisory Council and attends and leads meetings in the absence of the Project Director.
2. Assists the Project Director with project oversight; development of policy and procedures for managing the grant and design processes and services; procurement and budgeting; reporting; evaluation; and promotion.
3. Responsible for the day-to-day project management, communications, and logistics for the Open Textbook Collaborative (OTC) project and its institutional integration to meet project goals and objectives in a timely manner.
4. Oversees activities of OTC librarians, and plans and implements professional development and outreach activities including training, conferences, and meetings to promote long-term and sustainable OER activities on campus and in the community.
5. Coordinates scheduling, deliverables, and tracking program-based activities and outcomes.
6. Maintains and updates program-related files and documentation related to progress reporting and program completion.
7. Builds and maintains positive and proactive relationships with grant partners and participants to implement the project activities.
8. Disseminates best practices on OER through professional associations and national OER conventions.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in library science, information science, educational technology, or educational leadership
• Four years of experience in professional leadership and supervision, project, and budget management
• Three years of experience in curating, designing, developing, training on, or using open educational resources
• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing professional development for faculty and staff, IT, or library sciences

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in an academic environment at a college or university
• Strong skills in coordinating services with multiple agencies, employers, or education partners
• Excellent written, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work with diverse groups

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

DURATION: 4/1/2021 – 6/30/2022

SCHEDULE: Flexible. Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,

with occasional evenings and Saturdays or Sundays

RETIREMENT PLAN: Pension Eligible

Any Middlesex College employee hired after September 1, 2011 will have to meet the New Jersey residency law requirement.
