The Biology Department at Carthage College invites applications for a three-year non-renewable, non-tenure track Visiting Assistant Professor position in Biology with a focus on Genetics and Cellular Biology starting August 2021. The successful candidate will teach courses in Introductory Biology and Genetics with an opportunity to do research with undergraduates. Applicants are required to have a PhD in Biology with a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and supporting a diverse student population.

The Carthage Biology Department is housed in a recently expanded and renovated science center that includes more than $1.5 million in instrument and equipment investments. The College offers small class sizes and the opportunity to work closely with undergraduates in both the classroom and laboratory.
