Job Description:

UF Information Technology (UFIT) is currently seeking an intermediate level Fiscal Assistant to join the UFIT Business Center . This position serves units within UFIT by delivering billing and collection operational support for UFIT provided services.

Primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Delivery of excellent customer assistance

  • Daily operation of the UFIT Services chargeback application

  • Create new customer accounts and maintain fiscal contact data

  • Order intake and payment collection duties

  • Complete various billing and reconciliation related activities

  • Gather data and assist with the preparation of various accounting reports

  • Perform general office duties such as filing, answering phones, scanning, copying, and routine correspondence

Expected Salary:

$17.50 - $19.15 per hour, commensurate based on education and experience. In addition, the University of Florida offers a very competitive benefits package.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and three years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for required experience but does not negate the minimum degree requirement(s).

To be successful in this position, the applicant must possess:

  • UF Auxiliary or other billing related experience
  • Accounts receivable experience
  • Ability to research customer inquiries using multiple electronic financial and billing systems
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Comfort in working in team oriented (both virtual and open) office setting
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of streamlining various billing processes
