The Supervisor will manage daily operations, hire, train, schedule, discipline, and evaluate all temporary and student staff.
Input payroll following union guidelines.
Respond to inquiries and issues from students, staff and faculty.
Maintain inventory and service needs.
Ensure health and safety compliance with departmental, University, County and State health department regulations.
Qualifications
Associates degree in food service, or business management, and/or a combination of supervisory and food service experience equal to 5 years.
ServSafe Certification will be required upon hire.
Job Specific Qualifications
Well-developed analytical, technical, computer, oral and written communication skills are necessary for this position.
Responsibilities
Supervise 40+ union staff, and 100 student staff in daily operation of 5 franchise and two University brands within facility generating $30K+ daily. Train, schedule, discipline, and evaluate staff. Ensure that all franchise policies and procedures are closely followed to be able to successfully deliver each brand.
( CORE, Halal Shack, Panda Express, Dunkin, Biscotti, Tomato Wheel, Grab and Go)
Interpret and ensure compliance with all university, county, state, departmental and union policies and regulations. Rely on independent judgment to problem-solve the day to day management of the food court. Use well-developed analytical, technical, computer, oral and written communication skills.
Monitor and maintain proper inventory to maximize sales and minimize waste. Order and receive products from University vendors. Input invoices and orders in Food Production software. Monitor food cost.
Input payroll following union guidelines. Monitor overtime in order to control labor cost.
Respond to inquiries and complaints from students, staff, and faculty. Trouble shoot any employee problems, act as liaison between staff and upper management.
