Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Operate the interface between flight dispatching and the control of Aircraft Maintenance to maximize the daily flying schedule. Control all maintenance to support daily flight operations, and assist in the flight following of all ERAU aircraft while engaged in flight to insure all aircraft can be accounted for at any given time. Coordinate the activities of the Student Flight Dispatch/Follower employee labor force supporting flight operations and customer service requirements. Provide accurate data for aircraft/simulator check in and oral room assignments, to insure proper billing for all department transactions daily. Provide a high level of customer satisfaction and maintain a department image appropriate to ERAU as the leader in Aviation Education. Control and coordinate the logistics for aircraft problems away from home base operations for prompt and expedient handling and return of aircraft. Coordinate and debrief pilots on aircraft discrepancies, establish repair priorities and insure the maintenance technicians clear all discrepancies in an expedient manner with he proper documentation. Assist in insuring the inspection programs are complied with and properly documented along with maintaining a computer update of the program. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications / knowledge, skills, abilities: Two years customer service background preferred. Supervisory and people skills required. PC software skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel Spreadsheets, and database management. Two years of progressive flight operations and aircraft maintenance experience preferred. Knowledge of aircraft systems and Federal Aviation Regulations preferred. Airframe & Powerplant license or Commercial Pilot Certificate desired. Working Conditions: Fast paced customer service environment; must be able to react well under pressure, making sound decisions while maintaining a professional and courteous interface with students, instructors, external clients and guests. Required to work a combination of early morning, late shifts, holidays and weekends.
