The Washington State University (WSU) Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) seeks to fill a clinical, full-time, 12-month, renewable position within the Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care section of its Veterinary Teaching Hospital.  The position is available at all ranks (Clinical Assistant/Associate/Full Professor), depending upon qualifications, and is available immediately.  This position will join a team of three (3) faculty clinicians whose primary mission is clinical teaching, clinical service and scholarship in a critical unit experiencing growth opportunities.

For those with interest in tenure-track opportunities, depending upon research background and experience, there may be an opportunity to negotiate conversion to a tenure-track position within three (3) years in rank, subject to university policy.  

QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidates must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or a related foreign equivalent degree (such as a BVSc), and be board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) or will have completed an ACVECC residency training program by time of hire. 

Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Veterinary Science or related field, a record of scholarly productivity, evidence of expertise in teaching, and evidence of accomplishments that demonstrates the potential to become an outstanding scholar and educator.
