Assistant Director - Community Outreach

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

Summary:
A great opportunity to engage with students and help them become successful and achieve educational goals that will benefit them throughout their lives. Under the direction of the director, the successful candidate will oversee the management, direction, and success of SCUP's programs; engages in strategic planning and staffing decisions; supervises staff; approves payroll; develops and manages programs; develops and organizes data tracking; provides professional development to personnel by planning staff meetings and trainings; coordinates university, community, and local relationships; oversees SCUP website; and assists with evaluation activities.

Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and four years experience related to the Summary of Duties or a combination of education and/or experience totaling eight years.

  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in STEM and literacy programs and strategies (specifically for first-generation students).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Budget preparation and fiscal management skills.
