GRINNELL COLLEGE – MUSIC DEPARTMENT – ONE-YEAR POSITION (START FALL 2021).

GRINNELL COLLEGE. The Department of Music invites applications for a one-year appointment in jazz and popular music studies beginning Fall 2021. Assistant Professor (Ph.D.) preferred; Instructor (ABD or foreign equivalent) or Associate Professor possible. The candidate will be expected to direct a jazz/improvisation ensemble and teach classes in their area of interest. Such classes might include, but are not limited to, jazz history, American popular music, afro-diasporic music, improvisation, and ethnomusicology.
