Job Description:

The Department of Education and Human Services seeks a highly motivated candidate to serve as faculty in the Human Service/Pre-Social Work curriculum.  This is a tenure-track faculty appointment with teaching responsibilities across the curriculum; in addition to teaching 15 contact hours per semester, non- teaching responsibilities include supporting students through regularly scheduled office hours, and engagement in extra curricular activities.   The candidate is expected to participate in curriculum, departmental, college, and appropriate professional community activities to promote and develop the curriculum.  


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  A Master's degree from a CSWE accredited program and a minimum of one year of practical experience are required. All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice within the classroom.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Three (3) years of practical experience strongly preferred.   Experience teaching Research and Addiction Counseling.   Preferred candidates are innovative and knowledgeable with demonstrated experience in teaching on a post secondary level, proficiency within instructional technology, and culturally sensitive  approaches to course and program development. 

 
Additional Information:

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $64,841 plus excellent benefits.
