Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Residency Coordinator (Student Services Program Coordinator I) in the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards.
Duties include, but are not limited to: determines the initial residency status (in-state/out-of-state) for tuition and fee purposes of all self-identified South Carolina applicants; assists in all other aspects of domiciliary counseling and communication for new, current and returning Coastal Carolina University students; assists with Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE); serves as a liaison to the University's VA certifying officials and Financial Aid & Scholarships staff for the determination of South Carolina state scholarship eligibility; and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related work experience are required. Front-line customer service and/or telecommunications experience preferred. A successful candidate should also possess the ability to use an admissions student information system and basic computer software, specifically Excel and Word, to update and carry out the details of residency determination activities; ability to analyze admissions documents and process applications, perform detailed work, and handle students' confidential matters; ability to comprehend and apply regulations and policies in decision making; ability to be a team player and able to work in a multi-task environment; excellent oral and written communication skills, as this position requires considerable phone and email contact with students; ability to establish and maintain relationships with professional staff across the University.
