West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, Department of Pathology, Anatomy & Laboratory Medicine (PALM) seeks an academically oriented Surgical Pathologist with specialty training qualified for appointment in the clinician-track at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor with a major commitment to clinical service and teaching in Pathology. The position reports to the Director of Anatomic Pathology and is expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in their specialty areas of surgical pathology. Additional training and/or expertise in gastrointestinal (GI) Pathology and other specialty areas of surgical pathology is valued. The successful candidate will also be actively involved in the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. There is tremendous potential for candidates with a record of scholarly productivity to collaborate with faculty across the WVU campuses. Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.

Qualifications: Successful candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree or foreign equivalent, and must be eligible for state medical licensure. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic/Clinical Pathology. Appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank requires a demonstrated record of accomplishment in clinical service, teaching and scholarly pursuits. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Additional academic interests in translational pathology, digital pathology, and molecular pathology are welcomed.
