The volume and complexity of the cases at both institutions are very good and the Division has mature, established practices in complex aortic diseases, lower extremity occlusive disease, complex hemodialysis access and the full spectrum of venous diseases.

The Division has a long-standing commitment to both Resident and Fellow education and it is anticipated that the new surgeon will be involved in this effort. In addition, applicants will be provided dedicated time to pursue their academic interests. The Division of Vascular Surgery has been very successful in several areas of research spanning basic, translational and clinical arenas. Faculty within the Division pride themselves on the importance of mentoring and maintaining the infrastructure for high-quality research. Recent junior faculty recruits have been highly successful in obtaining national, peer-reviewed funding.
