Program Manager 2, Diversity Education - (STA006981)



Provides education, large-scale programming, and other resources to diverse communities to assist with student development and fostering an inclusive community. Interacts with faculty, staff and students to promote the goals and objectives of the Center for Diversity Inclusion (CDI).

  • Creates original curriculum for diversity trainings and initiatives.
  • Develops, facilitates, and assess formal trainings for students and campus constituents about multi-faceted areas of identity, diversity and cultural competence.
  • Creates partnerships and collaborative events and programs with university departments and external agencies to maximize effectiveness and outreach of diversity trainings and programs.
  • Oversee CDI's marketing efforts including designing brochures, flyers, website layout and social media content.
  • Manages month-long programs for various identity groups based on national diversity observance calendars; topics include but are not limited to culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, race and ethnicity.
  • Serves as an advocate for diverse student populations and coordinates initiatives that assist students with identity and leadership development.
  • Participates in budget planning; responsible for controlling expenditures in accordance with budget allocations for the program.
  • Manages the structure, marketing and communication of the RISE student leadership diversity certificate program.
  • Oversees, develops and assess the Center's Diversity Institute, a one-day diversity conference.
  • Provides specialized reports, proposals, manuals and other documentation as required for the program for management use. Provides work guidance to support personnel, student assistants or interns. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years experience.

Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.

Preferred: Master's degree.

Requires a minimum of three (3) years of directly related job experience.
