Assistant Professor of Clinical - Pediatrics

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Miami in Miami, FL is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical to provide clinical care for patients from fetal life through adolescent with various forms of congenital and acquired heart disease, as well as assisting in the evaluation and management of adults with congenital heart disease.  This care is provided in the outpatient clinic, emergency room, inpatient wards and in the intensive care units (neonatal, pediatric, and cardiac) at the Holtz Children’s/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Perioperatively manage infants, children, adolescents and adults who underwent cardiac (heart) surgery. Perform and interpret echocardiograms on fetuses, infants, children, adolescents and adults as part of the evaluation for congenital and acquired heart disease.  This includes the performance and interpretation of transthoracic, transesophageal and fetal echocardiograms. Participate in the performance and interpretation of metabolic and exercise stress tests in pediatric and adult patients as part of the evaluation for cardiac disease. Provide teaching, through formal and informal case discussions, to students, residents, fellows, nurses and faculty members on various principles in the management of pediatric patients with cardiac disease. Participation in research and other scholarly activity, including collaboration with other pediatric subspecialists, in order to provide insight to and add to current knowledge in the field of Pediatric Cardiology. 

Position requires MD or DO, be board certified/eligible in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology and licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Florida.
