Responsibilities
Saint Mary's College of California is seeking an experienced, reliable, task-oriented, and can-do individual for its Advancement Office. The Program Manager, Individual Philanthropy will report to the Senior Director of Individual Philanthropy and will be responsible for performing a variety of duties and working with a variety of people, both inside and outside Saint Mary's. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, curious, energetic, professional, well-spoken, an excellent writer and editor, and capable of managing his or her workload and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment. 1. Planned-gift marketing, communications, and training
Under supervision of the Senior Director of Individual Philanthropy
Administration of estates and charitable gift annuities
Management of the Lasallian Legacy Circle
Coordination and Support of Individual-Philanthropy Fundraisers and Programs
Experience and Qualifications
Education: REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree PREFERRED: N/A
Experience: (years required and applicable field of experience): Minimum five (5) years experience with most or all of the job duties described above, and willingness and ability to become proficient on those job duties with which the candidate has little or no experience.
Skills/Abilities: (e.g. computer skills, written & verbal skills, trades, laws, procedures, technical) Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills; excellent customer service and phone etiquette; ability to handle confidential matters; demonstrated excellence in using Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, email and internet usage; experience working with databases; familiarity with event and travel planning, experience handling purchasing and ordering supplies and materials; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, establish priorities, and work in an organized manner; ability to work cooperatively and effectively with all members of a culturally diverse campus community; ability to work independently and as a team; understanding of and commitment to furthering the mission of the College.
