Assistant Professor, Operations Management/Supply Chain Management (Tenure-Track)

The Williamson College of Business Administration (AACSB accredited) is seeking a tenure-track faculty member with a specialization in Operations Management/Supply Chain Management. The selected candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in operations management, supply chain, and related areas, on campus and online, conduct research in the field leading to presentations and publications in refereed journals; engage with the business community and profession, and contribute to the department, college and university in ways that support strategic priorities.

The Williamson College of Business Administration (WCBA) is housed in a state-of-the-art building and is comprised of the Department of Management & Marketing, The Lariccia School of Accounting and Finance, and the Department of Communication. The AACSB-accredited business programs include the BSBA with nine majors, the MBA, and the Master of Accountancy. There are 35 business faculty members, 1350 undergraduate business majors, 400 MBA students and 30 MAcc students. The WCBA has a dedicated Center for Undergraduate Student Services and Center for Career Management. The WCBA also houses the Small Business Development Center, recognized as one of the top SBDCs national-wide as well as the Export Assistance Network and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC).

The mission of the WCBA is to prepare students to be successful business leaders. There is an emphasis on application of theory to practice and the professional development of our students. Faculty are required to demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching and student engagement, produce research with impact, and engage with the business community in ways that support economic development and teaching and scholarship goals.

Plans, organizes, teaches, and provides feedback to promote and direct student success. Responds to students in a timely manner. Communicates with students, departments and university officials via university provided tools and resources.

Minimum Qualifications
An earned Ph.D or DBA by the time of appointment with an emphasis in operations management/supply chain management or a related area from an AACSB-accredited institution. Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and engagement with the business community.

Preferred Qualifications
Teaching and/or business experience; demonstrated ability or potential to conduct research and work with the business community.
