Assistant/Associate Director of Community Leadership and
Involvement
Denison University is an academically rigorous liberal arts

The Alford Community Leadership and Involvement Center (CLIC) is
searching for an Assistant/Associate Director. This position will
address social issues of our local and global communities through
high impact practices of experiential learning, service, and civic
engagement. Support short-term and immersive service experiences
executed by 20+ student community service organizations. Oversee
Denison’s voter education and voter registration efforts. Supports
the Alford Community Leadership and Involvement Center’s mission to
provide co-curricular learning opportunities that foster growth,
community, and values-based leadership to develop community and
connection. CLIC oversees: leadership development, service, student
organizations, fraternity and sorority life, and major campus
events. The position will report to the CLIC Director.
Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in a collegiate environment working directly with service, service learning, community partnership/non-profit organizations, or civic/political engagement is required. An earned Master’s degree in Higher Education & Student Affairs, College Student Personnel, or other related advanced degree is preferred. Ability to accommodate extended work hours, including evening and weekend work hours. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience working with culturally diverse populations. Integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to make values-based decisions. Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives at once; ability to take direction and initiative. Demonstrated experience in service learning, community partnership, civic engagement, and political engagement. Skilled facilitator and competent in leading and training student groups. Competent in fulfilling administrative duties and managing systems. Demonstrated ability to construct programmatic learning outcomes and implement assessment tools to evaluate measurable outcomes. Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to form strong working/collaborative relationships with students, faculty, and staff members, and the ability to relate effectively with diverse members of the University community.
