Athletic Training Clinical Education Coordinator

Waynesburg University is accepting applications for an Athletic Training Clinical Education Coordinator. Faculty, full-time position, beginning Fall semester 2021. This is potentially a tenure track position. Ph.D. preferred. Master’s degree in Athletic Training or related field required.  A minimum of 2 years athletic training and teaching experience preferred.  Current Board of Certification (BOC) and PA licensure (or eligibility) required.  This is a 10-month position in the CAATE Athletic Training Education Program.  The successful candidate will maintain off-campus clinical affiliated sites, assign students to clinical instructors, and maintain records.  Those responsibilities include oversight of student clinical progression, communicating with and evaluation of preceptors, and evaluation of clinical sites.  In addition, the candidate will teach appropriate undergraduate exercise science and graduate and undergraduate-level athletic training courses, assist with student recruitment, and serve as an academic advisor.  The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University’s Mission and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
