Consider joining Daley College Continuing Education Department as a Part-Time Bilingual Health Education Instructor. You will have the opportunity to inspire, motivate, and empower others to succeed in their health goals and develop healthy habits across the lifespan. Daley College's Continuing Education Department is seeking an engaging, energetic and patient instructor to lead discussions with adults and youth about health topics, including, but not limited to, nutrition, disease prevention, fitness, access healthcare services, and family health. The instructor will develop and implement appropriate and engaging activities by taking into consideration the unique abilities and interests of participants.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop weekly sessions that introduce health topics and facilitate discussions about how those topics apply to daily life.
• Ability to teach using different methods and teaching styles, including online or virtual instruction, adapting the lessons to meet students’ needs and abilities.
• Ability to inspire, motivate and empower participants in a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
• Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, board rules and policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher, bachelor’s degree preferred
• Training in community health, nutrition, disease prevention, fitness preferred
• One year teaching and/or training experience in appropriate discipline preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse group of students and staff
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus
