Position Summary:

The Scientific Protocol Implementation (SPI) Unit of the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) is seeking an experienced NHP researcher to join the Unit as a Scientist. The SPI Unit provides expertise and research support to investigators who have limited experience working with the NHP model, thereby allowing the WNPRC to guarantee reliable, reproducible experimental procedures and to organize all the support that is required from other WNPRC Animal Services and Research Services units. Since the NHP model is critical in the translation of basic research to clinical research, the SPI Unit plays an important role in the facilitation of research progress towards the discovery of new treatments, preventions, and eventual cures for human and animal diseases. The SPI Unit provides support to investigators across a breadth of research areas, including infectious disease, energy metabolism and chronic disease, neuroscience, and reproductive and regenerative medicine.
