Position Function:

Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor or Full Clinical Professor Counseling at Mississippi State University on the Meridian Campus. The Division of Education invites applicants for a clinical position in its CACREP accredited Counselor Education Program beginning fall 2021.

Salary Grade : UC

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate teaching and advisement; supervision of practicum and internship; and providing service and outreach. This program is CACREP accredited and faculty work closely with area schools, community colleges and clinical settings. Students in the program obtain a Master of Science degree with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, Rehabilitation Counseling or a Specialist degree in Education with Counseling concentration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in Counselor Education with an emphasis in School Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field; demonstration of excellence in teaching, and /or service (Associate or Full Clinical Professor) or demonstration of potential for excellence in these areas (Assistant Clinical Professor). ABD's will be considered if the degree will be completed by August 15, 2021. Level of appointment is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Doctoral degree from a CACREP accredited program; eligibility for licensure as a School Counselor or LPC in Mississippi; and experience as a School Counselor or Clinical Mental Health Counselor.
