Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach graduate level courses in Educational Leadership and undergraduate in Educational Psychology, Foundations, Special Education, Elementary Education and/or Secondary Education; utilize online learning resources in the classroom; advise students; serve on graduate program committees; supervise interns; collaborate with local school districts; provide service to the Division of Education, the University and the profession; seek external funding to support teaching and service activities; perform other duties as assigned that support the mission of the Division and the University.

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctorate in Educational Leadership or related field; eligible for licensure in School Administration in Mississippi; experience as a K-12 administrator; minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in the PK-12 setting.

ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):

Yes

Preferred Qualifications:

Graduate degree in Secondary Education; evidence of high-quality university level teaching; greater than 3 years of PK-12 teaching experience; experience with online learning formats; experience with the Educational Leadership program accreditation process; eligibility for licensure in teaching one or more PK-12 subject areas.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of current issues and trends in the field of Educational Leadership; skill in teaching; ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
