Coastal Carolina University, Program in Exercise and Sport Science in the Department of Kinesiology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position beginning in August 2021.

The Exercise and Sport Science program seeks highly qualified individuals who will play an integral role in the continued development of the program. Candidates must possess an earned Doctorate in Exercise Science/Kinesiology or highly related discipline (ABD considered); evidence of scholarly productivity; excellence in teaching; record of program/curriculum development and community/public engagement. Primary teaching responsibilities will include exercise and sport nutrition; credentials supporting nutrition education are preferred (e.g. registered dietician, licensed nutritionist, etc.). Additional teaching will be selected from the candidate’s area(s) of expertise (e.g. functional kinesiology, exercise physiology).  Position requires undergraduate student advisement, mentoring undergraduate student research, establishing a record of scholarship and professional service/outreach, assistance in developing and advancing the curriculum, commitment to program assessment, and collaborating with related academic programs.
