Visiting Professor of Law

The University of Maine School of Law, in the coastal city of Portland, Maine, invites applications for a full-time Visiting Professor of Law position to teach Criminal Law or Property Law for the 2021-2022 academic year. The visiting appointment may be at the Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor level. Successful candidates will be eligible to apply for a tenured or tenure-track position starting in the 2022-2023 academic year. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Required Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a J. D. degree or its equivalent, an excellent academic record, and a record or promise of high scholarly achievement. Applicants also must have a record or promise of successful teaching and student mentoring, including an ability and willingness to incorporate innovative teaching approaches into the curriculum.
