Tenure-Track Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology (Developmental Psychologist)
The Department of Psychology at Butler University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor beginning August, 2021. We seek a colleague who is committed to and has a track record of exemplary teaching and high-quality research with undergraduate collaborators. Specifically, we are seeking a child developmental psychologist with a cognitive or clinical focus. The successful applicant will be broadly trained in psychology, ready to teach in a multidisciplinary core curriculum, and committed to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion through their teaching and research.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate Research Methods, Statistics, and Developmental Psychology and be able to support the building of inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student population. The ability to contribute to Butler’s Neuroscience Minor will further distinguish candidates. Standard teaching load is nine (9) credit hours per semester plus an active program of research involving undergraduate collaborators. Position requires a Ph.D. in Psychology at time of appointment.
