The nursing programs provide quality educational opportunities for students seeking to enter the healthcare arena as baccalaureate degree nurses, associate degree nurses, or practical nurses in order to meet the health care needs of the community. The nursing adjunct position requires effective teaching of diverse students, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a commitment to the comprehensive state college mission. The successful candidate may teach a broad range of courses in the campus laboratory and/or clinical setting with the possibility of day, evening, weekend, or on-line teaching assignments as assigned. The nursing adjunct will review and understand course plans and materials, effectively deliver subject matter content, monitor student attendance and progress, support activities that foster retention, and take part in other service and professional development activities. This position reports to the Director of Nursing.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a regionally-accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN), current Florida license without restrictions in Florida required by the first date of employment, current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, and two years current clinical experience. Successful results of a criminal background check and drug screen are required.

NOTE: This is an open applicant pool. Positions are filled by the department on an as needed basis.
