Chair for the Department of Computer Science (Begins Fall 2021)

The University of Texas Permian Basin is accepting applications for the Chair position in a growing Department of Computer, Cyber and Information Science at UTPB for Fall 2021. Rank of associate professor or professor will be considered depending on the candidates qualifications.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATONS:
1. The candidate must meet the requirements for at least a tenured associate professor at UTPB.
2. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
3. Research activity involving undergraduate and master students is expected.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATONS:
Expertise in Cyber Security, Data Science and administrative experience is preferred.
