The University of Texas Permian Basin is accepting applications for the Chair position in a growing Department of Computer, Cyber and Information Science at UTPB for Fall 2021. Rank of associate professor or professor will be considered depending on the candidates qualifications.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee
performance. If hired, the prospective employee must present
documentation within three (3) days of hire date to establish their
identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and
Customs Enforcement (ICE). Must be able to operate a licensed motor
vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a
valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory
driver’s record.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATONS:
1. The candidate must meet the requirements for at least a tenured
associate professor at UTPB.
2. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science.
3. Research activity involving undergraduate and master students is
expected.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATONS:
Expertise in Cyber Security, Data Science and administrative
experience is preferred.
