Position Summary:

The Department of Oncology/McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research is looking for a scientist to conduct research in the area of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-induced cancer, in humanized mouse models, in a world-class cancer research facility. The scientist will be responsible for independently designing, developing, and executing experiments studying specialized type 2 EBV strain in humanized mice. Additional responsibilities will include preparing drafts of manuscripts and preparation of grant applications to help fund the research. Additionally, this position will provide general supervision and training to research support staff within the lab and may guide the research of graduate students, student hourly, and postdoctoral researchers.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Ph.D. in Biochemistry required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

3-6 years post-Ph.D. experience required in animal model and tissue culture techniques. Research experience with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) strongly preferred.
