Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Public Health. Teaching, scholarly activity, and service are required of all faculty. This position would require teaching a variety of undergraduate /graduate Public Health courses. Additional responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, student advisement, advising interns, working with the student organization; participating in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the undergraduate/graduate program curriculum according to the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation guidelines; and representing the program at professional functions.

Minimum Qualifications             

  • Earned doctorate in Epidemiology or related field by August 2021
  • Experience in a Public Health setting
  • Ability to work with Public Health data
  • The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to the education of diverse populations
  • Successful performance in an interview and teaching demonstration

Preferred Qualifications             

  • Post secondary teaching experience
  • One graduate degree in Public Health
  • Broad based knowledge in Public Health
  • A record of scholarship and grant funding
